On 30 March 2022, the Parliament of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation adopted the reform of the school calendar.
Consequently, for the end of the 2022–2023 school year and for the 2023–2024 school year, the school holidays will be as follows:
- Start of term: Monday 29 August 2022 / From the start of the 2022 academic year, the school holidays calendar will be amended: the summer holidays will be shortened by two weeks (from 9 to 7 weeks’ holiday), whilst the autumn and carnival holidays will be extended by one week (from one to two weeks’ holiday).
- French Community Day: Tuesday 27 September 2022.
- Autumn holidays: From Monday 24 October to Friday 4 November 2022.
- Commemoration of 11 November: Friday 11 November 2022.
- Winter holidays: From Monday 26 December 2022 to Friday 6 January 2023.
- Carnival holidays: From Monday 20 February to Friday 3 March 2023, plus Easter Monday on Monday 10 April 2023.
- Spring holidays: From Monday 1 May to Friday 12 May 2023.
- Labour Day: Monday 1 May 2023.
- Ascension Thursday 18 May 2023.
- Whitsun: Monday 29 May 2023.
- Summer holidays. The summer holidays begin on Saturday 8 July 2023 / The 2023–2024 school year will start on 28 August 2023.
