A recent study has shown that there are more single parents in Wallonia than in Flanders: according to Statbel data, people in Brussels and Wallonia divorce more frequently than those in Flanders.
In 2022, the ‘divorce rate’ stood at 410 per 1,000 marriages in Wallonia, 362 in the Brussels-Capital Region and 337 in Flanders.
